Triple Berry Smoothie with Yogurt Recipe
Before we get to this delicious smoothie recipe, let’s talk about some of the ingredients:
There are very few smoothies that do not turn out better with a banana. They are inexpensive and give your smoothie a better consistency and body. Since bananas do not last more than a few days, I’ll chop them up and freeze them just before they start to spot.
Berries can be expensive, so the next time you see these summer items on sale, set aside a portion in your freezer. Otherwise, most stores will also carry some type of frozen berry blend.
For the yogurt, you can also use a honey flavored or sweetened yogurt and skip the tablespoon of honey.
You can toss a handful of spinach into this smoothie without changing the taste or color. It’s a great way to get the kids to eat more vegetables without even knowing it 🙂
- 1 C plain Greek yogurt
- 1/3 C frozen raspberries
- 1/3 C frozen blueberries
- 1/3 C frozen blackberries
- 1 banana
- A small handful of spinach
- 1 T of honey
- Pour the yogurt into the blender first and then add all other ingredients.
- Blend the ingredients in the blender until everything is thoroughly combined.
- If the texture is too thick, add a splash of milk and blend again.
I hope you enjoy this triple berry smoothie with yogurt recipe. Actually, I know you will because it is absolutely delicious! Haha! Afterward, if you are still in the mood for a cool treat, try this Cherry Pineapple Protein Shake. It’s super yummy too 🙂
