Learn how to make a healthy watermelon smoothie.
Last Saturday, I spent the afternoon sitting under an umbrella in the backyard with a nice, cold slice of watermelon. I was watching my daughter splash around in her little, plastic pool, when a thought crossed my mind…
This is what summer is all about. Relaxing and having fun with the people you love most.

Because we can’t spend the whole summer hanging out in the backyard, I thought it would be fun to share a simple way to keep that summer feeling alive (even at work).
This easy watermelon smoothie just TASTES like summer. It’s cool, refreshing, and delicious. Best of all, you can put it in a travel cup and take a little bit of summer wherever you go!
How to Make a Healthy Watermelon Smoothie | The Easy Way
The trick with smoothies is avoiding ice when possible. If you plan ahead, you can cube your watermelon, throw it into a plastic baggie, and keep it in the freezer. Most grocery stores carry frozen strawberries, so the next time you’re at the store, pick up a bag and keep it ready to go in your freezer as well.
For the yogurt, you can also use a honey flavored or sweetened yogurt and skip the tablespoon of honey. Not all Greek yogurts are the same, however. Some brands have a much thinner and watered down texture. I prefer to go with Greek Gods, Fage, or Tillamook Greek yogurts.
